Featuring beautiful, high-quality, and unique hand-crafted rugs from Pakistan, Bunyaad is a Fair Trade Federation member dedicated to preserving rug-making traditions and providing artisans fair wages in safe and flexible working conditions.  Bunyaad rugs begin with wool, silk, and/or cotton fibers dyed with natural or synthetic dyes.  The results are rugs which radiate beauty and create special warmth in your home. In addition to heirloom-quality rugs, Bunyaad also provides woven pillows, coasters, and wooden picture frames. 

Although Global Gifts features Bunyaad items all year, we partner with Bunyaad for two Fair Trade Rug Events annually.  Our Massachusetts Avenue (downtown) store will host our Spring Rug Event on April 22-26, 2026. Stay tuned for 2026 dates for the Nora (northside) Fall Rug Event.
