A Peruvian turquoise stone set in a decorative alpaca metal ring. Used in ceremonial dress by the Incas, Peruvian turquoise is actually chrysocolla, a semiprecious gemstone. The ring is created from alpaca metal, an alloy of copper, zinc and nickel, is silver-colored and tarnish resistant. Created by artisans in Peru as part of the nonprofit, Intercrafts Peru, each of these stones have a range of shades that make each ring unique.
