Dia de los Muertos is a multi-day holiday celebrated in many parts of Latin America. During this time, people remember and honor their loved ones who have died. It is believed that the spirit of the dead visit their families on November 1st and leave on November 2nd. In Mexico, the streets near the cemeteries are filled with decorations of papel picado, flowers, calaveras (skeletons and skulls) and parades.

Watch as Alison, a Global Gifts volunteer, highlights these new items and talks about the significance of the Day of the Dead.
