Artisans imprint cloth using the labor-intensive block printing method in which a wooden block carved with a specific design is dipped in dye and then carefully stamped onto the cloth. This process is repeated until the entire piece is covered as intended. The Aravali company employs around 150 fairly paid artisans in the Jaipur, India area.
